The Future in Wolf & WolfDog Care: The purpose of the U.S. Wolf Refuge is to provide the animals in our care with the highest quality of life that we can. One of the most important things in doing this is to provide them with a safe, secure, and comfortable place to live. It is our responsibility to give them a quality of life that is equal to that of their natural way of life. Since these animals cannot be returned to their natural environment, we must give them the freedom to be what they truly are. Giving them this freedom in a captive situation is a delicate and difficult dichotomy. more...
Mexican Wolf Reintroduction Update: The success of Mexican wolf recovery necessitates the need for more room, and to eliminate the constraints imposed by the limits of the existing recovery zones. Requests have been made, but the final determination that was expected by the end of 2006 has not been made.

This included all wolves, including puppies and pregnant mothers. more...

We are in need of professional guidance in developing a fund raising and expansion strategy. We are a small but established 501(c)(3) organization that needs to expand its financial base due to several major capital expense projects. This is a volunteer position that is not expected to require much time, but will require administrative competence in operating and fund raising for a non-profit organization. Board of Director positions are available for those wanting a more active role. For more information contact:
