2010 Tax-Deductible Donations
We understand that in this difficult economy it is not easy to donate to organizations such as ours. Family most definitely comes first. However, if the opportunity arises, please think of us when making a Tax-Deductible donation this year. Our "pack" always appreciates the help from our supporters.

2010 Reader's Choice Award
The voting is over and thanks to all of you we've won! We haven't been told yet how much the Grand Prize check will be for, but whatever the amount the U.S. Wolf Refuge is appreciative of the support and the money will go a long way in helping the pack. Our day at the July 18th event was long and busy but we savored every minute in the lime light. We were joined by volunteers Shellie, Chris, Kati, Tammy, Linda and Rick. Bill brought Ambassador Wolf-Dogs "Aries" and "Kasa". We all greeted the guests at our booth and mingled with other participants of the event. This was HUGE and a lot of fun.
Our Ambassador Wolf-Dog "Aries" was entered in Petfolio's Best Dressed/Best Costume Contest as a "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" which everyone appreciated and laughed at. He took First Place in the contest. We all had a lot of laughs and fun.
Of course, we'd love to be included in the festivities again next year, but for now we're enjoying the victory. THANK YOU!!!
Pack Member of the Month for August
TEMERITY
Our precious 14 year old "Temerity" is our Pack Member of the Month for August. She's slowing down a bit but still makes it known who is the Alpha female of this pack. Although Temerity now prefers a cushy bed and a cat-nap to running around the refuge, given the opportunity she can still (sometimes) keep up with the youngest of them. .
Temerity is such a love and a joy to be around….even if she can no longer hear us whispering sweet nothings in her ears and her breath might be a little "stinky" at times, there will never be a better Ambassador for our refuge or companion.
We love you "T"….

Welcome "ARROW" to our Pack!

One of our favorite fellow's "TULLY" found himself a new home. His leaving us meant that we had a place for a new rescue animal. "Arrow" joined our pack about a week later on Sunday July 10th. This little 11 month old came to us from Battle Mountain Nevada.
As we believe, a new life deserves a new name. He has been dubbed "Keeper of the Arrow" because of the arrow shape in the middle of his forehead. There has been some heavy hints to Bill on whether "Keeper of the Arrow" should be a "KEEPER" (permanent resident) or not. In this short time he has become Athena's newest side-kick and playmate. They are inseparable and seem to enjoy each others company immensely and since Temerity is now a 14 year old senior citizen we worry about Athena not having a companion and playmate when Temerity is no longer with us.
Do you think that "Arrow" should be a "Keeper?"
